USA and European travellers can obtain tourists visas on arrival. You will have to pay $5 USD fee along with 2 passport size photographs.

Air travel is best suited for longer journeys. The regional flights are safe, cost effective and convenient. Road journeys though are quite interesting and adventurous.

Baggage rules typically vary between international and domestic airlines. Get in touch with your travel expert to know the right size and weights for check-in and carry-on luggage.

We do not recommend our guests to eat street food. But relishing selective local cuisine is always a good idea. Also we recommend that you always drink bottled water.

SIM enabled mobile phones can be easily connected to local telecom service providers. All you would need is to purchase a local SIM card which would need photocopies of your passport photo and visa pages, and a passport size photo. A large number of western service providers have started offering international roaming to Laos. For more details, check with your service provider.

Although Wi-Fi is available at various locations but the speed varies. Hotels usually have fast running Wi-Fi.

Most hotels in Laos use a semi-universal A/C-type wall socket that will accept the most common plugs. You could also purchase a plug adapter kit for ease and convenience.

Western style toilets are easily found throughout Laos.
