Amritsar or Ramdaspur as it was called during the British rule is beautiful city situated in the north-western part of India. Not very far from the border of Pakistan, the city has mixed culture of both the countries. In this tour, you will get to know about various stories this land has witnessed.

A DAY AT THE WAGAH BORDER
9:00 AM: We will pick you from your hotel after breakfast. Morning is set for a visit to the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib). Built in the 16th century, the Golden Temple is a popular Sikh Gurdwara.
Next halt will be at the Jallianwala Bagh (Garden). Today the bagh is a popular public garden that houses a memorial of national importance. The bagh once witnessed massacre of Indians including men, women and children by the British forces. It was later established in 1951 to commemorate the massacre.
We will then proceed towards Hall Bazar followed by other local bazaars. You can buy souvenirs for your dear ones back home. The bazaars sell beautiful items such as traditional attires, jewelry and other local items.
There will be a break for lunch.
3:00 PM: We will drive towards Wagah Border for the popular evening beating retreat ceremony. Wagah border is popular for the ceremonial closing of gates and lowering of flags of India and Pakistan.
It is a beautiful scene when you see the soldiers return to the border line for the final handshake and afterwards no glance is exchanged and the gates are close.
In the evening we will drop you back to your hotel in Amritsar.
