India and yoga have a deep connection. India has always been one of the most preferred travel destinations for people from across the globe. This amazing North India Yoga Tour of 10 days is the perfect way to amalgamate yoga and travel. You would be travelling to some of the most popular tourist destinations of north India – Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. The highlight of the tour is sightseeing as well as yoga. Witness the varying culture and traditions of these three destinations and enjoy a rejuvenating yoga experience.
Day 1: Arrival at Delhi
We warmly welcome you to India on your very first day of the tour. The moment you reach the International Airport, you will be acquainted with a local representative who shall look after your lodging facilities at the hotel. We leave you free for the day to relax and spend at your leisure. You can opt to visit the nearby market for shopping and city walk.
The day concludes with an overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi
We have organized a Yoga session at the hotel in the morning. A specialized yoga instructor will conduct the session.
We would start today with a short stopover at Raj Ghat. It is the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi’s. Next we drive to visit the Red Fort and Jama Masjid. Red fort is the oldest fort, and Jama Masjid is the largest mosque in India. You would halt by to taste the local delicacies of Delhi, some being popular from the time of British rule in India.
Our next visit will be to Chandni Chowk market where an exciting rickshaw ride is planned. You would move through the crowded narrow lanes of the market. You can stop by to buy souvenirs and enjoy street food of Delhi.
We would then drive to Central Delhi to begin your culinary crusade. North India is popular for butter naan (A sort of bread made of flour) and tandoori chicken (marinated chicken cooked in clay oven). Do try the local dessert popularly known as Seviyan (vermicelli cooked with milk and sugar).
Right after your lunch, we would proceed towards other end of Delhi to explore the monuments of Delhi. We would visit the incredible Qutab Minar which was built as a symbol of victory by Qutub-ud-din-Aibak. It is a 72.5 m (287 feet) high tower built in the end of the 12th century. Our next halt will be at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. It is the State residence of the President of India. It was built by the popular architect Edwin Lutyens in 1931 having over 350 rooms. Next halt will be at the Parliament House which stands close to Rashtrapati Bhavan. It is a domed circular structure almost a kilometer in circumference, where the bicameral legislatures of India meet for its sessions.
If time permits we would halt at the famous India Gate - a war memorial built in honor of the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during World War I.
In the evening we would stop at Connaught Place – a place popular for Indian delicacies. From vegetarian to non-vegetarian dishes at the ambiance evoke memories of a Mughal court is a divine feeling. Satisfy your taste buds with various food options available here.
Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Delhi – Agra
Get ready to board an early morning train to Agra. This will be a 2 hour journey. When you reach your first halt will be at the red sandstone fort of North India - The Agra Fort. It was built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D which was later embellished by his successors with beautiful monuments.
Next visit will be to the Itmad-Ud-Daulah’s tomb and exquisite marble tomb built by Empress Nur Jahan in the loving memory of her father. The tomb depicts testimony of a daughter’s love.
When you are in Agra, do try the delicious Kormas, mutton or chicken curries. This will take you back in time to taste the emperors’ royal feasts. Also try the aromatic rice popularly known as Pulao and Avadhi meal that includes a variety of ‘kebabs’.
After lunch proceed to the world’s greatest monument to love - The Taj Mahal. We know that you must have seen this beautiful creation in pictures. But watching it with your eyes will be definitely worth it. If time permits you can stop by the market to pick up the popular ‘Agra ka petha’ (sweet dish prepared with pumpkin and sugar)
Day 4: Agra – Jaipur
Today will be your last day in Agra. You can choose to rest at your hotel or visit Mehtab Bagh. Located across Taj Mahal on the other side of the Yamuna River, Mehtab Bagh is a 500 year old Mughal garden.
You can also choose to visit Taj Mahal for a sunrise exploration. When you return a Yoga session will be organized at your hotel in the morning. After breakfast we would drive towards Fatehpur Sikri. Built completely with red sandstone by Akbar between 1570 and 1585, it was later declared as the capital.
Our next halt will be at Bulund Darwaza - The Gate of Victory, built in 1570. We would leave for Jaipur from here which will be an approximately 243 km drive. Once you reach Jaipur arrangements for your accommodations will be done at the hotel.
Day 5: Jaipur
An early morning Yoga session at your hotel will be conducted. After breakfast we would leave for city sightseeing. We would start with a visit to the Amber Fort and Palace. Built by Raja Mansingh, the fort can be reached on an elephant. The fort depicts India’s finest examples of Rajput architecture.
Explore the chambers of the fort on foot. Your lunch today will be at a restaurant in the pink city.
Next in plan is the magnificent Jantar Mantar. A stone observatory built by Raja Jai Singh in 1728. Also visit the famous Hawa Mahal - Palace of the Wind, built in 1799 to allow the ladies of the court to view the city and bazaar from the windows.
Next halt will be at the City Palace, built with a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles. The Palace was initially the residence of the Royal family. The palace has a collection of costumes, armory and miniature paintings. Evening is set for a cultural show followed by an authentic Rajasthani dinner at the hotel.
Day 6: Jaipur – Delhi – Ananda
Today will be your last day in Jaipur. Board the morning flight to Delhi connecting Dehradun. Once you arrive, you will be directly driven to Ananda. Check in at the hotel and relax for the day. Sessions of Yoga and meditations would be organized at the hotel.
Day 7, 8 and 9 : Narendra Nagar (Ananda)
Day today would be at your leisure. Morning will begin with a signature tea. You can ask for seasonal fruits for your breakfast. The package includes hydrotherapy facilities like Chill Plunge Pool, Kneipp Hydrotherapy Foot Bath, Jacuzzi, Steam, Sauna and the Heated Lap Pool. You can participate in Spa and Wellness activities like Meditation, Vedanta lectures, yoga, pranayama sessions, cooking demonstrations, nature walks and trekking.

Today is the last day of your tour. You would check out and drive to reach Dehradun airport to board the late morning flight to Delhi. On your arrival, you would probably have few hours in hand which can be utilized for last minute shopping.
